Fundraising:

Each season, BGYHA house players will participate in our annual fundraising initiative or choose to opt out by paying $50. Each house player must sell $100 worth of Grounds for Thought products (i.e. coffee, tea, hot chocolate). If you choose to opt out, you must inform us at registration and pay the opt out fee at that time.

We also have the opportunity to participate in the Kroger Fundraiser as a way to build funds for our organization. Go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com to register your Kroger Plus Card.  Designate Bowling Green Youth Hockey Association as your organization of choice to start earning.  Encourage your extended family and friends to sign up as well.  The more families that participate, the more money earned for BGYHA!

Buffalo Wild Wings fundraiser set for November 16th from 5-9pm. Cleveland will be playing Baltimore , so come out, cheer on your favorite team and support BGYHA.

McDonald’s fundraiser night is tentatively scheduled for October 29th. More details to follow.

Equipment:

For players just beginning in IP or Mini-Mite, we have starter equipment sets for rent to own. These sets include a bag, gloves, pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin pads and a practice jersey. Simply pay $65 to rent the equipment and if you decide to keep it, no further payment is needed. If not you can return it and we will refund your money. Other equipment you will need to purchase includes a stick, skates, helmet, neck-guard and mouth-guard.

Upcoming Events:

Division meetings are scheduled for September 22nd at 7pm . These meetings are designed to prepare you for the upcoming season by introducing you to the board, to make you aware of important dates & give you information regarding fund-raising and volunteering. For those that are new to hockey, we will also have an equipment demonstration immediately following the meeting if you need help learning how to dress your player in all of their equipment.

For those of you needing to purchase equipment or have equipment to sell, we will be holding on annual Used Equipment Sale on September 22nd at 6pm .  This is a great opportunity to dress your player very inexpensively or make some money selling that equipment sitting in your basement or garage that your player has outgrown.

September 25th-27th will be the Kick Off Classic Travel Tournament. The BG Squirt, Pee Wee & Bantam teams will all participate in this tournament. More details to come.

Events to be scheduled:

Team and Individual Pictures will be scheduled early in the season so check the website and your email for details.

Our annual Youth Hockey Day will be held after the first of the year. For those new to the organization, this is our largest fundraiser where all players get the opportunity to play on the main ice. There will be a skills competition, raffles, silent auctions, games, concessions and more. All BGYHA teams (house, all-star & travel) are expected to participate and therefore All-Star & Travel teams should not schedule away games on this date.

Communication:

All BGYHA communication is done via our website by visiting www.bgyouthhockey.org as well as a weekly email from our Communications Chair. Submitting your email address on your registration form will ensure you receive these weekly communications.

BGYHA provides young people in our area a winter-long recreational program that will expose players to good sportsmanship, healthy exercise, concepts of team play and a sense of accomplishment as they develop and improve upon their hockey skills.  It is the hope of this association to instill a sense of pride, teamwork, great friendships, and a love of the sport of hockey.  We also strive to instill qualities so that the youth learn life lessons to apply to all areas of their lives.

Please click on the "consent to treat" form below and fill it out and send it with your registration.
